ROCKFORD MUTUAL SUPPORTS LOCAL FOOD BANK IN HONOR OF A SIGNIFICANT ASSOCIATE RETIREMENT

Rockford Mutual Insurance Company (RMIC) recently celebrated the retirement of Fred Schneiderman, a man who had not only been an instrumental associate of RMIC for 38 years, but a man who had been instrumental in his community for even longer. Fred Schneiderman became the Forreston Village Treasurer in 1976 and continues to serve his community in this role as he has settled into retirement. As a farewell wish, RMIC and its associates came together to raise donations for an organization very dear to Fred’s heart, the New Life Community Center, Food Pantry and Thrift Store.

The New Life Community Center, Food Pantry and Thrift Store is a thrift and consignment store services the Village of Forreston in Illinois. The center collects a variety of items for those in need within their community, including but not limited to: nonperishable food items, gently used clothing and home goods.

In addition to donating dozens of nonperishable items to the food pantry, RMIC associates raised $200 in monetary donations. A second monetary donation was made on behalf of Rockford Mutual Insurance Company as well.

“Our team’s generosity never ceases to amaze me,” said Kent Shantz, President & CEO of RMIC. “We truly have a thoughtful, passionate and caring team at Rockford Mutual that desires to help more than just our policyholders in their time of need. I am very grateful for the values and integrity of each RMIC associate.”
