ROCKFORD MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY DONATES A CARLOAD OF ITEMS TO MISS CARLY’S, IN ADDITION TO A $1600 CHECK

Rockford Mutual Insurance Company (RMIC) supports a different non-profit organization every holiday season. This year, amidst a life-changing Pandemic, the company chose to support the local charity organization Miss Carly’s.

Miss Carly’s was founded by a local family in Rockford, Illinois whose goal was to empower those in need, one meal at a time. What started with feeding people on the streets extra portions cooked at mealtimes quickly turned into a lighthouse for the lost. Miss Carly’s now hosts a meal service three days a week, opens a donation room to the public with clothing/hygiene items three days a week, provides free and confidential Narcan training and hands-only CPR training to the public upon request, and provides meals at their door to anyone who is hungry, 24/7, no questions asked.

RMIC associates came together to help fill Miss Carly’s donation room for both the holidays and the winter months ahead, donating a carload of diapers, food, hygiene items, toys, bottled water, juice boxes, blankets, gloves, hats, socks, and more. In addition to all these items, Rockford Mutual Insurance Company and its associates raised a total of $1600 to help support Miss Carly’s and their future efforts in aiding those in need throughout Rockford, Illinois.

“Our associates never cease to amaze me during the holidays,” says Kent Shantz, President & CEO of RMIC, “Year after year, they show their support and dedication to helping others in need. After all, we are in the business of helping people. It is organizations like Miss Carly’s that allow us to put our hearts forward and make a difference. We wish everyone a very safe and happy Christmas, filled with good health and support.”
