Rockford Mutual Insurance Company Announces Leadership Transition

ROCKFORD, Illinois – Rockford Mutual Insurance Company (RMIC)announces today that after more than 30 years of dedicated service, Mark McWethy has decided to retire effective June 30, 2026. Mark will continue to serve the company in an advisory capacity alongside two significant leaders being promoted into their new roles. The entire RMIC family extends its deepest gratitude to Mark for his outstanding commitment and wishes him the very best in the years ahead.

Effective immediately, Tiffany Herron has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer & Vice President of Accounting. Tiffany joined RMIC in August 2016 as Assistant Controller following a successful 12-year tenure at Amerisafe, Inc., where she rose to the role of Assistant Controller. Since joining RMIC, Tiffany has taken on increasing responsibilities, progressing through positions such as AVP of Financial Services and Senior AVP of Financial & Reinsurance Services. She is now a member of the Executive Team as Chief Financial Officer. Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Tiffany relocated with her family to the Rockford area to join RMIC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from McNeese State University and an MBA from the University of South Dakota.

In addition, Aaron Powers has been promoted to Assistant Vice President (AVP), Accounting, effective immediately. Aaron joined RMIC in December 2016 as a Senior Accountant, bringing with him over five years of experience from Amerisafe, Inc. During his tenure at RMIC, Aaron has held key roles including Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, and Controller, contributing significantly to the company’s Accounting and Finance functions. A native of Merryville, Louisiana, Aaron earned his B.S. in Finance from McNeese State University and also relocated to Rockford to join the organization in 2016.
