Rockford Mutual Associates Join Together to Help Families with Food and Winter Gear Donations

Rockford Mutual Insurance Company (RMIC) rallied to support local families this holiday season who are grappling with rising food prices and reductions in food stamp benefits. In response to growing needs, our organization organized food drives and a hat and mitten collection to ensure both nourishment and warmth for our neighbors.

Thanks to the generosity of our associates alone, RMIC gathered dozens of non-perishable food items, alongside $80 in cash donations. These contributions were distributed to three food pantries serving families in need in some of the communities we serve:

Each pantry received a share of the collected goods and funds, helping them address the increased demand for assistance throughout winter. RMIC also led a hat and mitten drive, recognizing the importance of warmth this time of year as well. A large box filled with winter gear and $120 in fundraised cash donations was delivered to Rock House Kids of Rockford, Illinois. These donations are keeping local children safe and warm as winter continues.

“RMIC is deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from our associates” said Lisa Stewart, AVP – Human Resources at Rockford Mutual, “We look forward to continuing our mission and helping those who need us most!”
