Patrick Kennedy, VP of Claims and Internal Counsel, Retires from Rockford Mutual and Ann Kriens is Announced as His Successor

After 15 years with Rockford Mutual Insurance Company (RMIC), Patrick Kennedy, Vice President of Claims & Internal Counsel, retires effective July 1, 2025.  Patrick Kennedy has been an integral part of Rockford Mutual, making critical contributions to modernizing the claims team in his tenure. Kennedy’s legal counsel has guided the organization through key litigation matters, critical legislative efforts, and contractual affairs. 

Patrick joined RMIC in 2010 as Litigation Manager. He became the Casualty Claims Manager/Internal Counsel in 2013 and was promoted to VP of Claims/Internal Counsel in 2018. With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry involving claims, special investigative units, and litigation, he has made significant contributions to the organization.

Additionally, Rockford Mutual has announced the promotion of Ann Kriens to the position of Claims Vice President, effective July 1, 2025. Kriens joined RMIC in 2014 after 20 years of Claims experience at Economy/MetLife, serving as an adjuster, support supervisor, property subrogation manager and home operations manager.  She has demonstrated her leadership of the Claims Department since joining the organization, progressing from Assistant Manager of Claims to her most recent title of Assistant Vice President of Claims. The organization looks forward to her continued success in this new role.
